PMW is an educational initiative developed to enhance skills and to provide support to current and future authors of medical papers. Various aspects of the project (e.g. medical writing) have been designed for those who wish to successfully publish their articles in English medical journals and present their results at scientific conferences. During courses attendees will receive the essential knowledge on how to write abstracts, prepare content and deliver results using appropriate medical English. By taking part in a series of case studies participants will have a chance to implement new knowledge into practice.
The workshops are led by professional medical writers, consultants, trainers and academic lecturers from UK, Sweden, Germany and USA.
The first Proper Medical Writing course took place in 2007 facilitated by the former Chief Editor of British Medical Journal (1975-1991), medical doctor and author of many books on journalism - Dr Stephen Lock.
